Gang Activity Response Plan
Streams of Hope understands that schools often don't know if gang activity has reached their particular school. With internet and videos readily protraying gangster lifestyles, even the most rural communities can be facing some amount of gang activity and involvement.
The GANG ACTIVITY RESPONSE PLAN provides schools with an local site survey and basic staff training.
A) The Site Survey: Mr. Reiter will visit each site prior to the scheduled training and assess signs of current gang activity. If possible, Mr. Reiter will photograph these identifiers and include these in the subsequent site training session. Mr. Reiter will also attempt to identify any particular gangs that may have a presence at that site. This site assessment also includes anonymous surveys of students and staff.
B) The Training: Mr. Reiter will also provide training for your staff. This training will include all basic information included in the Gang Education and Community Response Training, plus a summary of the information collected in the site survey. Mr. Reiter will also provide any specific training that may apply to that site.
The GANG ACTIVITY RESPONSE PLAN is designed to provide schools with the information they need to deal with the current level of gang activity or "at-risk" behaviors at their particular location.
